Founded in 2003, by Gil Hanna, Near Field is staffed by professionals with a combined experience of over 28 years in the broadcast, enterprise, satellite communications, and telecommunications industries.
We are well versed in TV and radio station operations and engineering, corporate communications, and IP and wireless networking. Our experiences have taken us from the frozen tundra of Siberia, to the tropical islands of Tonga; from the uninhabited ice sheets of Antarctica, to the off-limits atolls of Bikini; from behind-the-scenes at hundreds of major sporting and news events, to behind-the-racks in network television studios and major corporations. We have designed, constructed, and commissioned facilities all over the United States and the world.
We are also proud members of the Society of Satellite Professionals International, The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), and the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE).

Gil Hanna
CEO/President
Before forming the company in 2003, Gil immersed himself and worked in this business for over 25 years. His background commences in 1982, when he was one of the first few transportable earth station operators in the world. Over the years, Gil has traveled all over the globe, providing satellite communications and broadcast television engineering services for a variety of clients.
He is an active member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers, the Society of Satellite Professionals International, and the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers.
